Our LTMS counselors work in collaboration with the school nurse, diagnostician, principals, teachers, and other support staff to deliver a comprehensive guidance and counseling program for all students to maximize academic achievement, college and career readiness, and interpersonal/emotional development.

Sandy Casares - Counselor (6th Gr. A-K, All 7th Gr.)
Sandy Casares has been an educator for 11 years and a school counselor for 6 years. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A & M Kingsville and her Master's degree in School Counseling from the University of Texas Pan American. Her goal as a school counselor at LTMS is to provide a supportive environment so that all students can achieve success in and out of the school environment. She loves the world of school counseling and enjoys working with the students of Lake Travis Middle School.

Vivian Rojas, M.A., LPC Associate - Counselor (6th Gr. L-Z, All 8th Gr.)
Vivian Rojas is excited to begin her second year as a counselor at LTMS. She brings more than 20 years of experience in education, including her most recent work in Eanes ISD. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma and her master's degree in counseling, with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health, from St. Edward's University. She is passionate about supporting students' academic, social, and emotional growth, and considers building meaningful relationships with the incredible students at LTMS to be the most rewarding part of her work. She looks forward to another wonderful year partnering with students, families, and staff to help every student thrive.
