Our School
The goal of Lake Travis Middle School (LTMS) is to develop a community of lifelong learners by providing a safe, educationally rich environment that promotes academic excellence, personal growth and service to our community. We currently serve over 1,400 students in our beautiful school overlooking the Texas Hill Country in Spicewood, Texas.
The curriculum is designed around the core academic classes of mathematics, science, language arts, and social studies. The elective curriculum offers a broad array of courses, including: athletics, health, physical education, Spanish (8th), dance, art, choir, theatre arts, band, orchestra, yearbook, and several different technology courses.
Students at all grade levels have the opportunity to participate in Academic UIL competitions, National Junior Honor Society, Government Club (student council) and Fine Arts competitions, as well as an array of other school-sponsored clubs. UIL athletic competition is offered in Grades 7 and 8 in football, basketball, volleyball, track and field, tennis and golf. Seventh and eighth graders may also participate in cheerleading and the Jazz Co. Dance Team.
